How to Find the Right Dose?
A doctor is always the best person to decide which dose is right, based on current health status, body type and age. The usual starting dose is 15 mg daily, which is taken in two doses, or 7.5 mg twice a day. Depending on the response, the doctor may increase the dosage by 5 mg a day after the first 2 to 3 days. The highest amount of Buspar that should ever be taken in a single day is 60 mg.
